Project Details
Working on behalf of Caisse Régionale de Refinancement Hyothécaire (CRRH), AHI developed a study on refinancing housing loans provided by local home financing institutions, known as Systèmes Financiers Décentalisés (SFD), in the West African Economic and Monetary Union. The project advanced measures already taken in the region to promote access to housing finance to low-income and poor households, and to enable the development of affordable housing in the WAEMU region. Moreover, the project identified SFDs that could benefit from refinancing mechanisms in the short-term and SFDs that could benefit from refinancing mechanisms after being supported through technical assistance and training.
